The "Visa approval letter" is a document (approved by Vietnam Immigration Office) that allows you to enter and exit Vietnam for a given time period.  

Generally, if you want to apply for Vietnam Visa letter, please prepare:

HOW TO APPLY: PLEASE FOLLOW THESE 4 EASY STEPS

1.     Send us the below information

• Passport details (Full name, Date of birth, Gender, Nationality, Passport number, Date of issue, Date of expiry, Place of issue)
• Date of arrival
• Flight no
• Port of arrival
• Place the visa will be issued (in case you would like to have your visa stamped at Vietnam embassies/consulates abroad)
• Type of visa (single or multiple-entry) 

2.     Pay for visa service fee

• Make payment with your credit card or via bank transfer.
• Visa Invitation Letter service fee

3.     Receive and print the approval letter

• After you submit your application and payment, we will start processing your visa.
• After 3-5 working days (urgent cases, please contact us), we will send you an approval letter by email.
• Then you just need to print the PDF attachment file and prepare at least 2 passport sized photos (4cm x 6cm).

4.     Get your visa stamped upon arrival

• Upon arrival at Vietnam International airports: Hanoi/Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh city, travelers are required to fill in Entry/exit form (available at the airports or download beforehand here) , present the your approval letter, passport, photos, and pay for the stamping fee to get Visa stamped on your passport.

ADITIONAL INFORMATION:

The Vietnamese Government has issued Resolution No. 46/NQ-CP on visa exemption for citizens of five countries: the United Kingdom, French Republic (France), the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Spain, the Italian Republic (Italy) to visit Vietnam.

Specifically, citizens of these 5 countries will be exempted from visa when entering Vietnam for a stay does not exceed 15 days from the date of entry, regardless of the type of passport, immigration purposes.

This policy was implemented in a period of 1 year from the date 01 July, 2016 to end on 30 June, 2017 and will be reviewed, renewed under Vietnamese law.

Currently Vietnam is a unilateral visa exemption for countries including Japan, Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Belarus; and exemption of visa on the basis of reciprocity with nine ASEAN countries. In addition, international visitors to Phu Quoc Island will be exempt from visa for 30 days.
