Cambodia
The Khmer Empire of the 9th to the 15th centuries is long gone as a living culture but Cambodia is blessed with the remains of many magnificent buildings from this era on the 400 square kilometres site that forms the Angkor Archaeological Park.
The park is the jewel of Cambodia and includes the unmissable Ankor Wat and Ankor Tom as well as numerous smaller but no less magnificent buildings that were part of the largest pre-industrial city in the world.
Siem Reap is the gateway to Ankor Park and is a charming town. In the central area, is the capital of Phnom Penh. Further south, you find beautiful unspoilt beaches flanking the Gulf of Thailand.
Cambodia is a beautiful country to visit and you will enjoy the open friendliness and welcome of the Cambodian people.
