Inle Lake

A boat trip on the lake is a must do. The Lake is a relaxing environment and home to many species of bird which use the lake as a breeding or migration site. You might be fortunate enough to see many species of birds, some of which are very rare, especially with a quieter group and a good guide. There are many craft workshops on the Lake to visit and if you choose, purchase some local goods to take home with you. You can also visit the floating market and observe how the locals trade for local goods.

You can also choose to take a bike ride or hike through surrounding villages where a typical trip  will take you through mountains, forests and villages inhabited by hill tribes.

Getting there: The closest airport is in Heho. You then need to take transport for the remainder of the journey (about 1 hour).
