1/The Grand Palace & Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok
If there is one must-see sight that no visit to Bangkok would be complete without, undoubtedly  it is the dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace. It is a large compound located in the very heart of Bangkok. The Grand Palace is a grand old dame indeed, that continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all of which is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of Thai people.  It consists of several buildings with different styles of architecture but the most interesting highlight is the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew). Renowned as the most beautiful and important Buddhist temple in Thailand, it houses the most highly revered Buddha image carved from a single block of fine jade. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom. While stay there, you also should not miss nearby Wat Pho, which is home to the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand. Another must see is Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, which is stunning from a distance and intriguing close up, with its mosaic detailing, as you climb to the top.

2/Visit to the sacred Ayutthaya ruin
Ayutthaya is one of Thailand's historical highlights. Many travellers take the day tour from Bangkok, which allows about 3 hours at the sites, but for folks with an interest in archaeological ruins, Ayutthaya justifies an overnight or more.The architecture of Ayutthaya is a fascinating mix of Khmer, or ancient Cambodian style, and early Sukhothai style. Cactus-shaped obelisks, called prangs, denote Khmer influence and look something like the famous towers of Angkor Wat. The more pointed stupas are ascribed to Sukhothai. 3/Discover the great Golden Triangle
The point where the Mekong River meets the Ruak River is known locally as Sop Ruak, but to the rest of the world it is the Golden Triangle: The point at which Burma/Myanmar, Laos and Thailand meet. Stand on the Thailand river bank, and you can look across to Burma/Myanmar and Laos, or hire a boat for a closer look. It is a region of immense natural beauty, with rice paddy sided valleys, dense rainforest, mountain peaks and remote temples and villages. This area also is home to a number of minority tribes and is rich in wildlife including the endangered Asian elephant. For visitors wanting to experience a little more of Thailand than just its fine sands and captivating cities, the golden triangle region provides the perfect environment to escape the crowds and immerse yourself in hiking, mountain biking or rafting.
 
4/Admire Doi Suthep Temple in Chiang Mai
The temple of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is certainly one of the most important temples in Chiang Mai, as well as one of the most revered among all Thai’s highlights. A Thai saying goes, "If you have not seen the view from Doi Suthep, you have not been to Chiang Mai. Doi Suthep is the home of some of the most deeply loved symbols in the Kingdom. Come here, you also have change to explore Wiang Kum Kam the underground ancient city, travel to Doi Inthanon National Park  and taste Khao Soi  as well (a famous dish served widely in northern Thailand).
 
5/Soak in colorful floating markets
Thailand’s strong reliance on its inland waterways for communications and commerce created a strong relationship between the people and the water. Unlike regular markets, Floating Markets have sellers pack their wares onto small boats and jostle with each other for the attention of buyers alongside canals. Set against a country backdrop they are very picturesque and a natural draw for visitors. Pick a market, arrive early to avoid crowds and bag the best bargains. And do not forget your camera – these markets are very colourful. Popular options include Damnoen Saduak at Ratchaburi, the most famous of the floating markets. 6/Chill out and sun tan on the Southern islands
The Southern islands and beaches of Thailand are known as some of the most beautiful in the world. The jagged limestone cliffs, tropical greenery and turquoise ocean waters are often enough to make one fall in love with southern Thailand and turn into a beach bum.
