Ha Noi

Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and offers a character all of its own. Although there is a population of around 4 million people living in Hanoi. It is rapidly developing but still retains a great deal of cultural traditions. As you walk around the narrow streets of the Old Quarter, you will see a vibrant 'street culture' where daily activities such as eating, drinking, trading and even hair cutting are commonplace. To the south of Hoan Kiem Lake you will find the more elegant and spacious buildings of the French Quarter including the Opera House, Colonial Villas, exclusive hotels as well as affordable and welcoming restaurants. The centre is compact, varied, bustling with traffic and people and holds a charm unique to Hanoi and to Vietnam as a whole.
