Da Nang

Da Nang is one of the major port cities in Vietnam and the biggest city on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. It is situated between Hue (to the north) and Hoi An (to the south) and enjoys  long stretches of beautiful unspoilt beaches. As a destination for tourists, it is a developing city with many resorts being built to make best use of what the beaches and East Sea can offer. This includes relaxing, swimming, snorkelling and fishing. It's proximity to Hue and Hoi An makes it an ideal base to travel and see some of the wonderful sites in the area. You can also easily get to the My Son site which is where you can see the remains for the Kingdom of Champa which flourished from the 2nd to the 15th Century.  The Marble Mountains (a cluster of five mountains close to the sea)  are also within easy access being just  8 km southeast of Da Nang City.

Getting there: Flights from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh go to Da Nang as does the north to south railway line.
